INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids will be received at Gardiner City Hall, 6 Church Street, Gardiner, Maine, until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15, 2007, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for One (1) Model Year 2007 Dump Truck 40,000 G.V.W. – 7 cy Side Dump Body with Tower Assembly and Plow and other equipment herein specified, less Trade-in Allowance of one (can be seen at Gardiner Public Works) (1) 2001 GMC 8500 Series 7 yard Dump Truck, to be delivered to the City of Gardiner Public Works Department. Also included “Bid Alternate” for
one 10 foot hydraulic tail gate shouldering spreader.
Enclosed with this letter are Instructions to Bidders, Specifications and Proposal Forms.
Please forward your bid, using the form provided, along with documentation for the equipment to be provided, in a sealed envelope showing the name and address of the bidder and marked “2007 – 40,000 G.V.W. PLOW and DUMP TRUCK".

The vendor is encouraged to note or make recommendations that may vary from the specifications.
The City of Gardiner reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids and to make the award in the City's best interest.
