Monday Morning Traffic Reminder
This is a reminder that beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, June 16th, the southbound lanes of I-295 between Gardiner and Topsham will be closed.
This means that Monday morning commuters will be using an alternate route. Please note that school buses will still be using Route 201 this coming week to make up for snow days, and that patrol cars will be following these buses to ensure the safety of school children. The school buses may cause delays, so motorists may want to allow for that extra time or use I-95—the Maine Turnpike.
Passenger cars and commercial vehicles traveling to Portland and points south are urged to use the Maine Turnpike. Please consider carpooling or traveling during off-peak hours. During the summer, peak travel times are Sunday afternoons and evenings, and regular weekday commuting hours.
