CYNERGY Hosts Mock Presidential Debate at Johnson Hall October 2nd
Gardiner's Johnson Hall Theater will be the site for an upcoming Mock Presidential Debate next week. Cynergy is hosting a "Social with Substance" event on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 5 p.m., at Johnson Hall in Gardiner. Julie O’Brien from the Republican Committee and a representative of the Democratic Committee will be on hand to discuss the upcoming presidential election.
“The 2008 presidential race has been the talk of the town for a while now,” said Cynergy’s Social Networking & Professional Development Committee Co-Chair Amy Leeman. “This event provides an excellent opportunity for young voters to hear what people on both sides of the ballot have to say.”
“I encourage area young people to attend this free event.” adds Leeman. “It’s a great opportunity to network with one another and develop a better understanding of the issues that will be on the November ballot.”
This marks the first time a Cynergy event will take place in Gardiner. Cynergy is an organization of Capital area young people (ages 20 - 40) connecting to foster career, social, and community betterment. It is a division of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, affiliated with Realize!Maine, and is sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.
