Gardiner Main Street Announces New Director and President
Exciting changes are happening at the Gardiner Main Street organization! With the support of board members, committee members and volunteers, Gardiner Main Street has recently elected a new Board President and hired a new Executive Director. Sarah W. Fraser will take the helm as Executive Director of Gardiner Main Street on March 16, 2009. In other organizational news, Josh Whalen has taken on the role of President for the Gardiner Main Street.
The new Executive Director, Sarah W. Fraser, is a very familiar face within the Main Street Maine community. Before accepting the position at Gardiner Main Street, Ms. Fraser was the Program Coordinator of Main Street Bath, Inc. in Bath, ME. Previously, she was a small business owner and hopes to utilize both her experience in retail and Main Street program training in new ventures in downtown Gardiner. Ms Fraser is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a BA in Business Administration and is also a graduate of the MidCoast Maine Leadership Institute. She has received national recognition for her work in adapting new technological trends to benefit downtown economic development and preservation efforts.
