Bottle return program donates to the library
The Gardiner Public Library gratefully accepts a donation of $210.77 from the returnable program set up by Riverside Disposal of Augusta.

Melinda Turner from Riverside Disposal, encourages the library to “…please accept this donation made through the Returnable Bottle Program…remember that the residents have made an effort to participate in this program and Riverside Disposal takes no part of the revenues generated by the bottle returns.  We donate 100% to libraries and the Kennebec River Rail Trail.  Every town chooses where their funds are sent and many residents of Gardiner chose to support the Gardiner Public Library.”

The Gardiner Public Library will use the donations to purchase books and to help defray the costs incurred during the renovations of our Children’s Room.  If you would like more information about this program, please call the library at 582-3312.
