The Gardiner Public Library staff is pleased to announce that the library has joined The Maine InfoNet Download Library. If you have a valid Gardiner library card, you can explore the growing collection of downloadable audiobooks and use your library card barcode to download these books to your personal computer, transfer them to an MP3 player, or burn selected titles onto a CD for listening on the go.
The site offer both WMA and MP3 audiobook formats. OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks are compatible with many devices including most cell phones, PDA’s and MP3 players such as iPods®. The WMA audiobooks work only with PC based machines and Window Media compatible portable players and devices.
Please visit the library’s website (www.gpl.lib.me.us) and click on Overdrive’s “download audiobooks” icon and follow instructions. It is easy, it is fun and now you can get your audiobook titles 24 hours a day! The library staff will be happy to assist you to help set up your account. The library serves the residents of Gardiner, Litchfield, Pittston, Randolph and West Gardiner. Non-resident household cards may be purchased for a fee.
