GROW A ROW FOR THE LIBRARY
The Gardiner Public Library announces a new fundraising program that all our local gardeners can join! Our Grow a row for the library program begins Saturday, May 9th and will continue through the summer. When planting your home gardens, plant an extra row of flowers, asparagus, carrots, lettuce, squash, herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers or whatever else may grow in your garden. When your produce is ready to be harvested bring in the produce to the library and we will sell it. You can bring in a handful of flowers (they don’t have to be arranged) and we can sell them as well.
If you are not a gardener it is so easy to support this idea…come in and buy the produce. All proceeds from the sales over the summer will be used for our next phase of library renovations – the main floor. Please call the library at 582-3312 if you have any questions. If not, remember the library when you work in the garden or wish to purchase local flowers and produce.
