Computer Grants
The Gardiner Library Association is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Opportunity Online Hardware Grants Program. This grant will allow the library to purchase two new computers. One will be installed on the main floor and the other will be a laptop that can be used anywhere throughout the building. Part of the purpose of this grant is to allow public libraries the opportunity to offer better Internet service to the public, as well as offer public access to educational software, financial management software and word-processing software.
The staff of the library and all of its community partners wish to thank this wonderful foundation for all that it does for the public libraries throughout Maine and the United States.
