Gardiner Mayor Andrew MacLean announced that the City Council has appointed an Interim City Manager. Anne Davis, Director of Library and Information Services will act in the capacity of interim manager until the Gardiner City Council hires a permanent city manager.
Ms. Davis has been employed by the city for 18 years. During her tenure she has acted as Interim Economic Development Director, is a member of the Economic Development Committee, is the technology coordinator for all city services and is a member of the city’s senior management team.
In his announcement, Mayor MacLean states that “it is important that the City Council appoint someone with an overall understanding of all city services, someone who has the respect of our community, of our staff members and of the City Council. Anne Davis has done an excellent job managing the library as demands for services increased and 3 renovation projects were completed. The City Council looks forward to working with Ms. Davis as the City of Gardiner begins its Waterfront Project, its expansion of the Libby Hill Park and the many other projects that are currently under way.”
Current City Manager, Jeff Kobrock, has resigned his position beginning May 29th and Anne Davis will begin her appointment the same day.
