Audio-streaming in Gardiner
Gardiner’s Interim City Manager, Anne Davis is pleased to announce that most public meetings held in the Gardiner Council Room will now be audio-streamed. These meetings include City Council meetings, Planning Board meetings and Historic Preservation meetings.
These City meetings are available to anyone who has a computer and an Internet connection. Listeners may need to load some free software to be able to hear the file, and staff has added a link on the website in order to accomplish this. Please visit the City of Gardiner Maine website at www.gardinermaine.com and click on the icon “audio streaming”. You can choose to listen to meetings live when they are happening or you can listen to the meetings that are archived. Please call Gardiner City Hall at 582-4200 if you need assistance.
“I believe that local government is the one form of government that citizens can have direct input. An informed population will be aware of upcoming projects, council goals as well as councilor’s concerns. I understand that many people cannot make the meetings held in Gardiner but do have a real interest in government. By installing audio-streaming onto our website, we hope we have made Gardiner’s government more transparent” states Ms. Davis. For more information, please contact staff at 582-4200.
