NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Gardiner, Maine will meet in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Offices, 6 Church Street, Gardiner, Maine on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 7:00p.m. to consider certain amendments to the Land Use Ordinance, as follows:
Amend the definition of Cemetery in Section 17.2 of the Ordinance to read as follows:
Cemetery:~ Land used or intended to be used for the burial of dead human beings or animals and dedicated for such purposes, including the mausoleums and mortuaries when operated as part of a cemetery and within its boundaries., but excluding crematoria.
Amend the District Use Chart in Section 7.6 of the Ordinance by changing the designation for Crematory in the High Density Residential District (HDR) from Planning Board Review (P) to Not Allowed (N).
