The Gardiner Library Association is pleased to announce a $300 donation from Riverside Disposal and Recycling. Melinda Turner, an employee with Riverside Disposal and Recycling, points out that the donations are really made by the residents of Gardiner. Riverside picks up the recycled items, processes them and then donates the proceeds to the library. The Gardiner Library Association owns and maintains the Gardiner Public Library and has begun fundraising for the final phase of the interior renovations. By the end of 2011 the Association hopes to
complete the rehabilitation of the Community Archives Room by addressing some air quality issues and creating a better space to store the local history of the lower Kennebec Valley. For more information about this project please call the library at 582-3312. The Gardiner Library Association wishes to thank Riverside Disposal for managing this wonderful program.
