Have you visited the Gardiner Library Association’s new bookstore at 242 Water Street (right inside Lisa’s Legit Burritos)? This unique bookstore of gently used books opened a few months ago. All proceeds from sales will be used for the renovations of the library’s Community Archives Room - a collection of unique local history, genealogical materials, rare maps and manuscripts. The estimate for this restoration is $163,000.
Another of our fundraising projects is a monthly book auction. At the end of each month, we will raffle off a title. Some of these books may be rare, others may have an author’s signature, but they all will help us at the library.
Raffle tickets are $1.00 each and may be purchased at the main desk of the library.
