The staff of the Gardiner Public Library is pleased to announce that the library will resume its Local Author Series program on Thursday, December 6th at 7PM. Please come join us as we welcome Monica Wood who will be speaking about her very popular book, When we were the Kennedys. This book is a memoir set in 1963 Mexico, Maine and tells the story of a family reeling from their own family’s setbacks and it is the story of a nation mourning the loss of a very charismatic president.
This event will be held in the Hazzard Reading Room and staff hopes to have books to sell during the event. The author has offered to do a book signing after her talk, so bring along the book if you already own a copy. This will make a great holiday gift for a family member!
This program is free and opened to the public. The library is located at 152 Water Street. Please contact the library at 582-3312 for more information.
