City of Gardiner, Maine
Upgrade of wireless networks

The City of Gardiner, Maine (population 5,800) is seeking quotes to upgrade the wireless networks located at City Hall (6 Church Street) and the Gardiner Public Library (152 Water Street).  These networks are separate networks and require the following:

City Hall:
Staff has already embedded the electrical system needed to upgrade the current network.  This network must broadcast throughout City Hall, to the Fire Department bays and onto the Building and Grounds bay (approximately 250 feet).  This network must be a private, secured network.

Gardiner Public Library:
This network must be accessible throughout the 9600 square foot building and must broadcast to all 3 floors.  This network needs to be a public/private network that allows the general public to access the network without security but must also be able to broadcast a secure wireless network as well.

This project is grant funded and the quotes must contain the following:
  • The devices proposed for the network
  • Labor costs
  • Charges necessary to have the system integrated into the City’s Internet connection.
  • Any monthly or annual fees, if applicable
  • Full proposal of costs
Please send all quotes to Anne Davis, Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water Street, Gardiner, Maine, 04345.  Any questions about the project should be via email ( and quotes are due by Monday, April 8, 2013 at 4:30PM.  Please enclose 3 copies of the quotes.

The City of Gardiner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid for any reason whatsoever and to accept alternatives to the above specification for bidding whenever the municipal officers in their sole and absolute discretion deem it in the best interests of the City to do so.
