TAX HIKE ALERT!!!!
The Legislature is currently considering a major cut to funding to cities and towns which is used to help reduce property taxes.
In Gardiner, we are about to vote on a budget that keeps taxes flat for the second straight year. However, this loss of state aid could result in a property tax increase of between $55 and $365 for the average homeowner!
The legislature justifies this because they say they haven’t heard from you! Please contact your legislators TODAY to let them know this is unacceptable.
