Book discussion at the library
Oprah Winfrey has nothing on the staff of the Gardiner Public Library.  For more than 10 years, we have been facilitating book discussion groups.  The groups meet about once a month to discuss a particular book.  We have a group that discusses a wide variety of genres and our other group discusses paranormal titles…very scary!

On December 10th from 6-7PM, the 2 groups will meet together to discuss Celtic Moon by Maine author, Jan DeLima.  Ms. DeLima has graciously agreed to join us as we discuss the book.  The title is considered an urban fantasy and the story takes place in a small town in Maine populated by shape-shifters.  If you have any interest in joining a book discussion group please come and join us; copies of the book are available at the library.

We also have titles from past discussion dates so that you can start your own group!  Please visit the library’s website at for the list.  You may come and check out multiple copies of a title and the rest is easy.  Call a few friends, hand out the books and plan some refreshments…it is a great way to spend an evening.

If you need help getting a book discussion started, please do not hesitate to talk to the library staff, we are here to help.  The library is located at 152 Water Street and it serves the towns of Gardiner, Litchfield, Pittston, Randolph, and West Gardiner.  Please call 582-3312 for more information.
