Free Assistance with Enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace
GARDINER - Ann Schwab and Emily Owen, Certified Application Counselors, will be at the Gardiner Public Library on Monday, December 9 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.~ As Certified Application Counselors through HealthReach Community Health Centers, both Schwab and Owen have received training on how to appropriately answer questions and assist people with the Marketplace application process.
Open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act’s Health Insurance Marketplace is currently underway. The Health Insurance Marketplace gives individuals who do not have coverage available through an employer or public program the opportunity to shop and compare insurance plans side-by-side.~ To help with the enrollment process, Gardiner Public Library is hosting a Marketplace Enrollment Day where individuals can come and receive assistance with the application process.
To complete an application, applicants must bring social security numbers of all members of the household, as well as all income information for the household. Helpful references for income could be pay stubs, 2012 tax returns, W2s or social security statement of benefits.
