Advisory: Flood Watch & Ice Jam
***Ice Jam/Flood Watch***
We are cautiously watching the rain storm that is forecasted for tomorrow. With the amount of rain and higher temps that are predicted there is concern that the ice on the Kennebec River may start to break up and subsequently jam up in Gardiner, like it did just a few short years ago. We think it is prudent for people that live in the downtown and park in the Arcade Lot to monitor the weather, the Cobbossee and the Kennebec. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. We will do our best to keep you posted.
