Gardiner's gazebo
In less than 6 months, the City of Gardiner and Gardiner Rotary have raised enough money so that Gardiner’s bandstand/gazebo is almost completed.  The estimated budget for the building was projected to be about $46,000 that included an accessibility ramp, electricity and security cameras.  In an extraordinary example of public/private partnership, Gardiner Rotary was able to help the City of Gardiner fill a budget gap that allowed the aging gazebo to be replaced with a new structure that will last for many years.  This new iconic symbol of Gardiner will be ADA compliant, and be a welcomed addition to Gardiner’s historic Common.  The newly designed building has electricity and residents will, once again, have a place to gather and celebrate their special occasions.

Many local businesses and residents generously donated to this project and it is now time to celebrate this accomplishment!  Come join the community on Saturday, June 14th from 11AM-1PM for a ribbon cutting, a dedication of the gazebo and an old fashioned party celebrating the gazebo.  A live musical performance from Gardiner’s hometown band, the Soul Sensations, rounds out the entertainment.  Gardiner Rotary will be grilling up some good food supplied by local businesses and the community can say “thank you” to so many generous businesses and people.  For more information, please call 582-6893.
