Job opportunity - City Clerk
The City of Gardiner, Maine (pop. 5,800) seeks an experienced professional to fill the position of City Clerk.  This position is an integral part of the front office team that provides a variety of routine and complex clerical and administrative services to the public and other city departments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a municipal setting, including planning and overseeing elections, issuing licenses and vital records, preparing and posting meeting agendas, and taking minutes at City Council meetings.

Excellent customer service and technology skills are a must, with a preference for familiarity with the TRIO software program.  A thorough understanding of all applicable Maine laws and City ordinances is desired.  Must possess high school diploma/GED, though a college degree is preferred.  This union position reports to the Finance/HR Director.
