African drumming program
Come one; come all to an African Drumming Show at the Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water St., Gardiner on Tuesday, June 30th, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Children’s room.  Jordan Messan Benissan, a native of Togo, West Africa and a member of the Ewe people, was introduced to music and dance at an early age through ceremonies and rituals.  He received his traditional music training from several West African master drummers.  He has taught and performed for all levels, from elementary school through college level.  Please call 582-6894 for any questions.  This program is free and opened to the public.  It is part of the Gardiner Public Library’s 2015 Summer Reading Program.
