Rabies Clinic for Dogs & Cats

The Augusta Police Department will hold a rabies clinic from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17th at the Hospital Street Fire Station which is located at 40 Hospital St., Augusta.

Rabies shots for dogs and cats will cost $12.  Microchipping is available for $25 by Kennebec Valley Humane Society.

The rabies clinic is open to residents of all cities and towns.

All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be contained in carriers.  Owners are reminded to bring their pets previous rabies vaccination records (certificates).

All dogs must be licensed by January 31st to avoid the $25.00 late fee that will be charged starting February 1st.
