The Gardiner Public Library will be closing at 4PM on Friday, February 12th so that staff and volunteers may get ready for our dedication party beginning at 6PM. We hope to see our whole community Friday evening as we celebrate the completion of the interior renovations that began almost 10 years ago. We will be dropping the gorgeous stage curtain that was found during the Children's Room renovations. We will have musical guest Patrick Colwell playing in the Hazzard Reading Room and we will have dispalys of some unique items that make up part of the
Community Archives Room collection. At 7PM Mayor Thom Harnett will formally dedicate the Community Archives Room and Maine Historic Preservation Commission Director Kirk Mohney will discuss the rich history surrounding this regional library. Please plan on joining us as we celebrate this 135-year old institution! Light refreshments will be served. The library is located at 152 Water Street and this event is free and opened to all. Please call 582-3312 for more information.
