Voices of the Kennebec
Last evening, the library staff kicked off a six-part series of presentations to celebrate 100 years of the Pulitzer Prize.  Author Gay Grant set the mood of the workshops by magically narrating the stories of Laura E. Richards, Edwin Arlington Robinson and Robert P. Tristam Coffin's titles and how they relate to the Kennebec Valley.  Photographs from the Community Archives Room, including some rarely seen pictures by South Gardiner photographer Herman Bryant, made the evening magical.  The next presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27th (7-8:30pm) when Pulitzer Prize winning author Barbara Walsh will discuss her memoir, August Gale: A Father and Daughter's Journey into the Storm.  Copies of all the titles being discussed are on sale at the library.  Staff has also gathered multiple copies for circulation to anyone with a valid library card.

All events are free, open to the public and will include light refreshments.  Please call the library at 207-582-3312 for more information.
