Voting & Election Day Information


Absentee Voting
Early voting by absentee ballot is available at City Hall during normal business hours.  Thursday, November 3, 2016 will be the last day when a voter may get an absentee ballot for the November 8th Election.

Voter Registration
Anyone that has not registered to vote and wishes to vote in the November Election must show proof of identity and residency in Gardiner in accordance with State of Maine Title 21-A MRSA, ยง1.49.  
Voter Registration will also be permitted at the polls on Election Day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Voting at the Polls
The voting location for the City of Gardiner is at the Gardiner Area Boys & Girls Club located at 14 Pray Street.  
The polls on Election Day will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

For your vote to be counted, all ballots must be returned to the City Clerk by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2016.
