Cobbossee Rail Trail informational meeting (reminder)
The Maine Department of Transportation is seeking public input on the proposed multi-use path beginning at Kennebec River Rail Trail on the west side of Maine Avenue then crossing Cobbossee Stream with a pedestrian bridge and continuing west up the Arcade Road and extending 50-feet west of the Proposed Bridge Street (Route 201) highway bridge reconstruction project. Also, the City of Gardiner is administering a continuation of the trail from 50’ west Bridge Street, along Water Street, Winter Street, and Summer Street, then across the existing rail trestle to Water Street.

Please join us at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017, held at The Boys and Girls Club of Kennebec Valley at 14 Pray Street, in the Gymnasium, at which time representatives from the MaineDOT and the design firm will discuss the proposed improvements, listen to concerns, receive comments, and answer questions from persons interested in the project to ensure transportation needs are being addressed.

Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities.  Auxiliary aids will be provided upon advance request.

Any inquiries regarding this project may be directed to the attention of John Rodrigue, Project Manager, Maine Department of Transportation, Multimodal Program, 24 Child Street, 16 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333-0016.  Telephone: (207) 592-0428.
