Downtown paving project update
Tomorrow (Thursday) the paving crew is planning on doing the shoulder paving on Water Street as well as paving the southern section of Water Street from Church Street to near the library. There will be traffic flow on Water Street but there will be no parking. The Reny’s Department Store end of Water Street will have a closure until the surface pavement is applied. This SHOULD end the need for Water Street closures in the downtown area. We will then pave the Brunswick Avenue/Water Street intersection starting about 6:00AM on Friday. This will require detours set up over Summer Street and to Church Street. This work should take about 3 hours. Main Avenue should be paved by the end of the day on Friday as well.  There may be the possibility of some shoulder work still needed.
