This employee is responsible for working in the safe and efficient operation of heavy construction equipment, while protecting the safety of workers in the area and the equipment from damage. Work may involve supervision of a small crew. Worker must operate a variety of equipment and trucks utilized in the construction, maintenance and repair, and snow removal activities of streets, sewer and storm drainage systems. Equipment used includes; backhoe, dump truck, street sweeper, grader, jetter, street roller, man lift, tamper, and plate compactor; as well as others.
Chosen candidate must have basic road construction knowledge and availability to work long hours; including weekends and holidays. Class B driver’s license required.
