Voter Registration

Absentee Voting
Early voting by absentee ballot is available at City Hall during normal business hours.  Thursday, November 3, 2016 will be the last day when a voter may get an absentee ballot for the November 8th Election.

Absentee Ballots are available at City Hall, by calling 582-4200 or online.

Voter Registration
Anyone that has not registered to vote and wishes to vote in the November Election must show proof of identity and residency in Gardiner in accordance with State of Maine Title 21-A MRSA, §1.49.  
Voter Registration will also be permitted at the polls on Election Day from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Registrar of Voters is available at City Hall during normal business hours and will also be available at the polls.   
Voting at the Polls
The City of Gardiner has four voting districts, however, all voting is held at one consolidated voting place.  
The voting location for the City of Gardiner is at:

Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm on Election Day

For your vote to be counted, all ballots must be returned to the City Clerk by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2016.
