Section 2564. Signs.
No person shall erect, place or install any sign, or replacement of an existing sign, or any marquee or replacement thereof, overhanging within the limits of any sidewalk or street, without first obtaining a permit from the building inspector who shall satisfy himself as to the safety of the proposed sign and the fastenings thereof. This section shall not apply to signs erected by the City of Gardiner. The fee for such permit shall be $500.00.
