Gardiner Municipal Departments




The City Manager's Office works with the City Council to constantly improve City programs and services, provides information and assistance to residents, and assures that all City initiatives embody the principles of quality and efficiency.
The Department of Public Safety provides professional services through the City's Police ,Fire ,EMS ,Communications , and Emergency Management Services.
The Department combines the Economic & Community Development, Code Enforcement, and Assessing services into a fully functional, pro-active, and collaborative unit.
The City Assessor is responsible for determining the value of real estate and personal property that is subject to municipal taxation.
The Planning, Code Enforcement and Plumbing Divisions administer land use law and regulations within the City of Gardiner.
We work with the city's elected leadership, the local community, and the city staff to create an environment where business and citizen's individual and collective dreams can become reality.
The place for Voter Registration, Election Information, Marriage Licenses, Dog Licenses, Hunting & Fishing Licenses, Birth & Death Records.
The department is responsible for collection of real estate, personal property, and excise taxes.
Gardiner Public Library offers full library services that include books, magazines, audio books on tape and CD, videos, DVDs, genealogical resources, Internet access, computer instruction and reference help by a professional staff.
Gardiner Recreation offers full service child care service preschool to grade 8, community meeting space, and adult activities.
The Welfare Department provides assistance to residents of Gardiner and South Gardiner and distributes vouchers for the Food Bank.
The Finance Department is responsible for the Stewardship of the City’s financial resources and functions, and is responsible for providing the City Manager and all departments within the City with fiscal support. 
The Department of Public Works is responsible for and committed to maintaining the city's physical infrastructure and providing quality services to the citizens of Gardiner. Public Works maintains all city streets and public right of way amenities.
Gardiner Wastewater provides wastewater treatment for the communities of Gardiner, Farmingdale, and Randolph.
