“Security Camera Project”
NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Gardiner is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish and install a security camera system for the city’s waterfront project.  Bidders will provide pricing for cameras, including installation, as well as a new, expandable, video server to support the system.  The new server will be located at the Gardiner Police Department at 6 Church Street.  Each bidder will estimate the total number of cameras to be installed.  However, the City is asking bidders to install the minimum number of cameras while covering as much of the waterfront park area as possible.  A pre-bid meeting will be held at City Hall on November 1st at 1 PM, which will include a site-walk, to review sites that are planned for camera coverage within the park.  Please include pricing for monitoring, and annual camera and server maintenance.     

All interested bidders are invited to submit their proposals for the City of Gardiner's Security Camera Project, in a sealed envelope marked “Security Camera Project”, by 1 PM on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.  Bids can be mailed to:

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Gardiner will receive sealed bids for site improvements to their Waterfront.  The project includes all site work associated with the construction of a boardwalk over existing boat launch, parking and green space, including excavation, earthwork, storm drainage, utilities, site lighting, landscaping, grading, paving, loam and seeding, and all other works specified in the contract documents.

Sealed bids for the project will be received at the City Hall, City of Gardiner, Maine until 12:00~p.m. (prevailing time) on March 17, 2010.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Thereafter, bids will be opened in public and read aloud.

The City of Gardiner, Maine is seeking bids for Route 201 turning lane improvements, as part of the City’s Libby Hill Business Park project.  The work includes: Milling, Textured island, overlay pavement, pavement markings and traffic control.  All work will be in conformance with the plan dated June 12, 2009 and MaineDOT Standards.

Plans may be obtained at City Hall, City of Gardiner ,6 Church Street, Gardiner, Maine or at the engineering offices of Milone & MacBroom, Inc., 20 Independence Drive, Freeport, ME 04032.  The City reserves the right to accept any bid or any part of bids, to reject any, all, or any part of bids, to waive any formalities or informalities in the bidding process, and to award the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

Sealed bids must be clearly marked: “Route 201 Improvements”.  Completed proposals must be delivered by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 29th, 2009 to:

Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Thereafter, bids will be opened in public and read aloud.  Bids for this work should be a Lump Sum Price.  Plan quantities shown on the plan are for reference only.  Construction must be completed within 45 days of a notice to proceed.

Each proposal (note: blank form not required 7/27/09) must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid.  A Contract Performance Surety Bond and Payment Surety Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful bidder.

Professional Marketing Services

The City of Gardiner, Maine is seeking bid proposals for professional marketing services for its Libby Hill Business Park.  Development and implementation of aggressive marketing program will be based on tasks identified in the City’s ‘08 Marketing and Business Plans for the current Business Park Expansion Project.  Marketing program will focus on significant and measurable results.  Key marketing services for the Business Park include: commercial real estate listing services; updating or creating a new Libby Hill Business Park website, updating marketing collateral information, and other services.  The City also seeks to streamline and coordinate marketing efforts, where possible, with marketing plans for the City’s historic downtown business district.  The City will negotiate a final set of marketing services.  Gardiner encourages a creative marketing approach, to deliver the most impact/results, and will accept multi-consultant “team” proposals.

Gardiner will install the new playground equipment, as well as prepare the base for installation. The City will select playground equipment, based on how well the proposal meets design guidelines established in the 2008 Master Plan for Common, within the budget that has been set.
