The City of Gardiner has been working for several years to implement a permanent Housing Program in the City. Through the various efforts over the years, the City has demonstrated a long-term commitment to addressing its housing needs. The Housing Assessment and Action Plan process built on these earlier efforts and has resulted in the development of an aggressive and proactive strategy for addressing Gardiner’s housing needs.
Additionally, the City has a Housing Committee to address fundamental questions about existing housing, how housing can be improved, and how the City can plan for future growth. Namely to implement the Housing Action Plan. The committee works closely with the Community Development Associate to insure that the City accomplishes the goals of the Housing Action Plan.
