The Gardiner Waterfront Action Plan, the guiding document for the ongoing revitalization efforts focused on the Gardiner waterfront, is a key component of Gardiner's Downtown Revitalization Strategy. It was drafted after gathering the best available thinking about Gardiner's waterfront in an extensive public process that culminated in June 1999. It is hoped that through a lot of hard work by numerous public and private partners, the City of Gardiner can achieve its goal of providing better access to Gardiner's waterfront for trailered boat owners,
non-trailerable transient recreational boat owners, fishermen (and women), and the general public (including handicapped individuals).
