What are the operating hours of the Gardiner Ambulance Service?
The Gardiner Ambulance Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to serve the public.
How do I report an incident?
Emergencies can be reported by calling 911. An emergency can be defined as those situations where anyone is seriously hurt and in need of immediate paramedic care. All other ambulance business can be done by calling our business line at 582-4535.
What areas are serviced by the Gardiner Ambulance Service?
We provide services to the City of Gardiner as well as the towns of Dresden, Farmingdale, Litchfield, Pittston, Randolph, Richmond and West Gardiner, which encompasses an area of approximately 240 sq. miles.
What hospitals do we transport to?
Most of our patients are transported to Mainegeneral in Augusta, we also transport to hospitals in Lewiston and Brunswick.
Why would you be transported to an alternate hospital rather than the one you requested?
We work under the guidance of medical control which is hospital based and at times patients are transferred to a different facility to better handle their emergency conditions.
