One of the primary responsibilities of the Planning Division is the processing of land development applications. Land development applications include subdivision, conditional use, Historic Preservation, sludge spreading, planned residential development, zoning changes, and other applications associated with residential and non-residential development.
The Planning Division assists applicants with land development applications. The various design policies set forth for commercial, industrial and residential development are used in the development review process. The Planning Division assists applicants with permit application coordination.
The Planning Division development consultation objectives are to provide applicants assistance with state and local land use law and ordinance standard interpretation. From preliminary plan review to construction, the Planning Division can facilitate the land development application process.
