The Plumbing Division is responsible for internal and external plumbing permits, questions, inspections, and enforcement. The Plumbing Division is responsible for Maine State Internal and External Plumbing Code administration. The Plumbing Division Office is located at City Hall.
The purpose of the Plumbing Division is to assist the people of Gardiner through the administration of the State of Maine Internal and External Plumbing Code. Also, the Plumbing Division provides permitting associated with City Sewer and City Water Hook-ups.
The Plumbing Division offers the following services:
° Internal Plumbing inspection including residential, commercial and industrial plumbing, through the State of Maine Internal Plumbing Rules
° External Plumbing inspection including residential, commercial and industrial subsurface waste water disposal systems and their appurtenances through the Maine Subsurface Waste Water Disposal Rules
° Enforcement of State of Maine Internal and External Plumbing Rules
° Permitting of Internal and External Plumbing work
° Permitting of City Sewer and City Water hook-ups
