3.) SITE WALK
The Planning Board is conducting a site walk of the property of Paul McGuire, owner of Aspire Corporation who is seeking Minor Site Plan Approval to expand an existing storage facility by constructing three (3) additional storage buildings (10’x100’; 20’x100’; & 30’x100’) with paved access. The property, located at 878 Brunswick Av, is within the Residential Growth (RG) Zoning District, City Tax Map 11, Lot 26A.
Everyone walked to the new site. David Cichowski, the CEO explained where the new buildings were proposed to be built.
Paul McGuire, Isaac McLaughlin, Sr., Judy Dorsey and Ian Burnes had a discussion about wetlands, DEP and where the center of the stream was.
Isaac McLaughlin, Sr. talked about the increased water. As development increased up Brunswick Av, more and more water came across Stanley Lane. It used to flood over once about every 5 years, now it floods 5 times a year. He asked about a storm water study to determine water volume.
Dave Richardson noted that headlights from vehicles turning into the Storage Depot shine in his house all hours of the night. Board members asked if the Storage Depot was open 24 hours. Melani said yes. Paul & Melani stated that the new building would help shield the lights.
David Cichowski stated that he would make sure that all DEP – wetland or Permit by Rule Permits needed are in place before any Gardiner building permits are issued.
The group walked down to Stanley Lane. Isaac McLaughlin, Sr. pointed out the first culvert that is maintained by the State of Maine (Road Department). At the second culvert Isaac indicated that this is the area that floods the most and has a 24” culvert.
4.) ADJOURN
