The Animal Control Officer can be contacted by calling the Police Department at 582-5150, Ext 344. The Animal Control Officer is in charge of animal welfare, stray domesticated animals (cats, dogs) and the loan program of the Have-A-Heart Trap, which is used for capturing non-domesticated animals (skunks, squirrels, etc).
Any complaint of a non-domesticated animals will be referred to the Maine Wardens Service.
