Have you noticed that a new business has opened up next door to Subway Sandwiches?  Please join in as we welcome Kennebec Savings Bank to Gardiner!  During the grand opening of the bank, many organizations in our area found out what a great neighbor they will make.

Beyond the balloons and mulled cider, KSB had some wonderful surprises for some of our busier agencies that have such a huge impact on Gardiner’s quality of life.  The bank made a $10,000 donation to our greater Gardiner community.  The Gardiner Public Library will use the $2,500 donation to help defray renovation costs during their current construction project.  Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center will make good use of their $2,500 donation through all their wonderful programs that they offer to our Greater Gardiner Region.  The Greater Gardiner Boys and Girls Club has so many programs that serve our area children.  The $2,500 donation from KSB is a welcome infusion of money to keep these programs robust.  Our local Gardiner Main Street organization will use their $2,500 donation from Kennebec Savings Bank to help them in their mission to encourage our downtown’s economic and cultural vitality through concentrated efforts of organization, design, promotion and economic revitalization, while protecting Gardiner’s unique historic character.

All of these organizations depend on the generosity of their community in order to survive and prosper during good and bad economic times.  Our greater Gardiner community is very supportive and that is why these groups reside and thrive in Gardiner.  The infusion of an additional $10,000 makes their jobs just a little bit easier.  So, welcome Kennebec Savings Bank, we appreciate the support!
