Library

Our Library is the Maine Library Spotlight of the Month. You can view the Spotlight at http://www.mainelibraries.com/main/spotlights/24. Congratulations to our Library staff for achieving this distinction.

City Staff

Anne Davis has been named to the InforME Board. This board oversees the State’s effort to provide electronic access to governmental information and functions. Maine is consistently recognized as a leader in this area, and the experience should be very interesting.

After many months of near-misses, Chief Kimball has filled the two “day shift” positions in Fire/Rescue with Gardiner residents. With the arrival of Nathan Sutherburg and Josh Johnson we can begin our inspection program for commercial and residential properties to help owners with life safety code compliance. Unfortunately we were not as successful in the Police Department where another round recruitment efforts ended with no viable candidates.
