It has been my pleasure to begin serving the residents of the great City of Gardiner as City Manager this past week. I appreciate the warm welcome I have been given by the Council, City staff, and residents alike. I very much look forward to working with a broad group of people on the many issues facing our community.
I have spent my first week doing a lot of listening and observing and will continue to do so over the course of the next few months. I have met with Councilors, department heads, staff, residents, area municipal leaders, City committee members, and so on. If I have yet to reach out to you please do not hesitate to contact my office in person, via phone (582-4200) or via email (citymanager@gardinermaine.com). I understand there is still quite a bit for me to learn about Gardiner and am open to all ideas and suggestions.
I would like to give a special thank you to former interim City Manager Anne Davis for her hard work and dedication for nearly a year in that capacity. Anne and the dedicated group of employees who comprise your City government have done an excellent job during this transition period and have made my first few days on the job all the more manageable.
Thank you once again for the warm welcome and I share in your excitement about the future of Gardiner!
