UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
I would like to remind everyone that Gardiner Main Street will be hosting a Downtown Open House to showcase commercial properties currently on the market. This event will take place on Saturday, March 27 from 11 am – 3 pm. Sweet Love and Baxter Tea Company, located at 289 Water Street in Gardiner, will provide a home base for tour information and additional resources will be set up at 263 Water Street. If you have questions or would like additional information about properties and resources please contact the Gardiner Main Street office at (207) 582-3100 or info@gardinermainst.org. I plan on attending this informative and exciting event and encourage anyone interested in investing in Gardiner’s bright future to be in attendance!
I also look forward to attending the upcoming annual meeting, jazz party, and awards presentation of the Gardiner Board of Trade, to be held Wednesday, March 31 at 5:30 pm at 7 High Holborn Street, the home of Amy Rees and Robert Lash (and former Central Street School building). Tickets are only $25 and I understand there are a few remaining so I encourage anyone interested in attending this event to contact Jason Simcock in our Planning Department at 582-6888 or jsimcock@gardinermaine.com.
Finally, the City of Gardiner was featured in the latest edition of The Maine Townsman for our recently installed wood-pellet boiler at our Public Works garage. As you may know, we are the first municipality in Maine to use such as system.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
