Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- Those of us who attended this past week’s Board of Trade Annual Meeting were treated to a great event. I’d like to congratulate the following businesses for being recognized by the Board of Trade:
- Sweet Love and Baxter Tea Company - Director’s Award
- Maine General-Alzheimer’s Care Center - President’s Award
- Mike's Water St. Grill - Cobbossee Award
- Maine Technology Institute - Technology Business of the Year
- Pasta’z - New Business of the Year
- Farewell to Chris West, Director of Gardiner Main Street, who will be leaving that position next week. Chris provided a great spark to the Main Street program and I know I speak for all of you when I wish him and his wife all the best as they return to Michigan to pursue a new business opportunity. I look forward to continue working with all of the Main Street volunteers and their new director on making Gardiner a more vibrant and thriving community
- Reminder: Composter bins are again available through the City of Gardiner at a reduced rate of only $42.50 (retail value $100). Orders will be taken through April 29, 2011 and items will be ready for pick up at the Public Works garage after May 16.
