UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Council Meeting Agenda
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Canopy Grant
We have received another Canopy grant from the Maine Forest Service. This $8,000 grant will fund trees as part of the next phase for waterfront improvements. Previous grants have replaced trees in the downtown and in the Common. Thanks Jason!
Sweeping
As a measure of the inordinate amount of sand there is to be picked up in this sweeping season, twelve truckloads were recently removed from the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Bridge alone! Recent weather has been very conducive to sweeping and we have made excellent progress. The new upgraded sweeper is proving itself a very wise investment – productivity is so very much improved, even under this year’s conditions of duress that the upgrade will pay for itself time and time again in increased efficiency.
Budget Workshop
As has been the tradition with budget workshops, we include the presentations from the most recent workshop in the packet, as well as any follow up that is necessary. A representative job description for an assessor position is included, as well as the analysis comparing fulltime vs. consultant roles. A very comprehensive presentation of the revaluation process has been maintained at http://www.gardinermaine.com/Public_Documents/GardinerME_Assess/REVAL.
