UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- A reminder to all residents to be sure to vote next Tuesday, June 8. Voting for the Primary elections, Referendum questions and MSAD11 Budget Referendum will be held at the Boys & Girls Club, located at 14 Pray Street. Polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- The revised budget schedule per the Council’s last meeting is as follows:
- June 9, 2010: Budget wrap up discussion (with information on this issues requested)
- June 16, 2010: Budget First Reading
- June 30, 2010: Budget Second Reading (requires 10 day waiting period to go in to effect, will need to pass a continuing budget resolution at this time)
- July 10, 2010: FY11 Budget goes in to effect
- This past Tuesday there was a public meeting with residents from the Harrison Avenue area about the impending improvements being made to their street. The residents were able to ask questions and overall seemed to be pleased with the project, including some measures that should improve safety. Once construction starts, the street will be open for local traffic only. The project should be completed by October, 2010.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
