RE: Weekly Memo
UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- Don’t forget that tomorrow, Saturday, June 19, is the Greater Gardiner River Festival! Events run all day starting at 7 a.m. and conclude with a fireworks show on the waterfront at night. For more information, please visit our website. I hope to see you there!
- Congratulations to Safety Office Jamie Dacyczyn, who hosted a successful Bike Rodeo last weekend that saw 25 kids participate (mostly from Gardiner). The City gave away 11 bike helmets to children that needed them and also provided a free bike safety inspection for all attendees. Special thanks is also due to the Knights of Columbus, McDonalds, L.E.R. Principal Karen Moody, and Mathieu’s Cycle & Fitness who donated their time and/or items to this event.
- Our fine officers in the Gardiner Police Department made headlines this week after a high profile arrest. You can get more details by visiting the Capital Weekly website.
- The Police Department is also making preparations for the National Night Out, which is “America’s night out against crime.” This community event will be held at the Gardiner Common on Tuesday, August 3rd. More details TBA.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
