Celebrate Gardiner

Please remember to Celebrate Gardiner on Saturday. And remember to thank Anne Davis and Dale Staples for stepping into the breach and organizing this event when no one else would step forward. Thank you Anne and Dale!
City Staff

As President of the Maine Wastewater Control Association, Chuck Applebee attended a signing ceremony with the Governor this week. The photo celebrates the successful effort to seek funding for wastewater upgrades. Chuck has been instrumental in numerous initiatives to fund wastewater upgrades, traveling to Washington as part of a Maine delegation earlier this year, as well as this Maine bond issue approved by the legislature for referendum in November.

Jason Simcock has been elected by his peers to the Economic Development Council of Maine board of directors. As secretary and an officer of the group, Jason will likely move progressively into other officer roles. Additionally, Jason has received his certification as an economic development professional, joining the ranks of a rarified few in Maine!

We are lucky to have such committed and respected professionals working for the benefit of our community. Thank you Jason, Chuck and all our city staff for the fine work you do on behalf of Gardiner.
