UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- The Gardiner Public Library will be holding an Open House on Wednesday, June 30th from 5:30-8:00PM. ~~Anne Davis, Director of Library and Information Services announces that “we’ve cleaned up the dust, put the books back on the shelves and we are ready for a busy summer. ~The first-floor renovations of the Gardiner Public Library are finally finished and we want our whole library community to come help us celebrate!” Library staff will conduct tours of the newly renovated facilities and the gorgeous, 100-year-old stage curtain will be dropped for all to see. ~There will be food, drink and plenty of celebrating along with some very special door prizes. ~Music will be provided by “Generations,” a quartet performing a repertoire of standards, jazz and show tunes featuring vocalist Gay Grant, accompanied by
pianist Patrick D. Kaloustian, Arthur Beaulieu on stand-up bass, and Gay’s husband, Ron Grant, on drums. The band’s unique arrangements of the classics span generations and musical genres, appealing to listeners of all ages. So come join the fun, food and celebration as the Gardiner Public Library gets ready to begin its 130th year of offering library services to the Greater Gardiner area. ~The library is located at 152 Water Street, Gardiner, Maine.
- This Saturday, June 26 the VFW will be hosting a dedication of a memorial for all war veterans. This memorial is located at Plaisted Cemetery and events begin at 9 a.m.
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
